Bachelors in Integrative Studies (anticipated grad date: December 2016)
I am a mother to my 5-year-old son, Brody and a wife to my husband of 10 years, Kenny. My husband and I met while both serving in the Navy in Whidbey Island, WA. After serving over 7 years as a Hospital Corpsman on Active Duty in the Navy, I transitioned to the Reserves in 2013. I was recently promoted to a Chief Hospital Corpsman (E7), serving at the Navy Operational Support Center, Detroit, located at Selfridge ANGB.
I have always had a passion for health and wellness. I am fortunate enough to be able to put my passion to use both in my Navy career and my civilian career. I recently graduated with my BIS, focusing on exercise science/health promotion.
Philosophy on Exercise and Well-Being
I love to work out when it is fun and exciting. The community at FG Fit is just that. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to surround myself with, like minded individuals with health and wellness at the forefront.
Being physically active not only helps with aesthetics, it is also a great stress reliever and mood enhancer. Longevity and quality of life are important to me, and what I hope to translate to my clients, friends and family. It gives me a sense of fulfillment to see people taking steps towards a healthy life.
